‘Mo tsumoreba yama to naru’ – Great oaks from little acorns grow.

March 15, 2010

As parents ourselves we know how difficult eating out with children in restaurants can be. You end up ditching good, healthy food in favour of yet another plate of chicken nuggets and chips.

At Oki-Nami we want to get children involved in eating well at an early age. So we have launched our  new Oki-Kids menu that features three mouth-watering choices for children – all nutritious, handmade, free range and fresh. The chopsticks  even come wrapped in beautiful origami  paper – to keep little fingers busy at the table.

And not content with feeding them, we want to get the kids in the kitchen too. Which is why this Easter we will be running our first Kids Sushi and Origami class.

The class will give children the chance to try their hand at making their own sushi – which they can then eat or take home with them. We will also show them how to make Origami.

  • Kids Sushi and Origami Class: Wednesday, 7th April.
  • Age 8 – 12, price £6.
  • You can book the classes in  advance from Oki-Nami.
  • Oki-Nami & Oki-Bar, 6 New Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1UF
